Chocolate Pancakes For You & Your Valentine

Spend this Valentine’s morning together in your pyjamas, enjoying these yummy chocolate pancakes with strawberries & nutella, while listening to the romantic classics like Frank Sinatra!

I don’t regularly eat nutella or recommend doing so… but if there’s one day to indulge, Valentine’s is the best day to do it ;)

What are you waiting for? Spoil your sweet heart with my gluten-free chocolate pancakes!

I N G R E D I E N T S

  • 2 organic eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 3 tbsp coconut sugar

  • 3 tbsp melted coconut oil

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cacao powder

  • 1 1/3 cups unsweetened almond milk

  • 1.5 cups almond flour

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • Coconut oil or butter for cooking

  • Toppings: fresh straw berries, nutella, maple syrup

  • Optional: add collagen powder or protein powder for extra nutrients

D I R E C T I O N S

  • In a bowl, mix together all of the dry ingredients except the almond flour and cacao powder

  • Sift in the almond flour and cacao powder then combine

  • Next, slowly combine the nut milk, then fold in eggs

  • Lastly, add the melted butter, vanilla and mix until combined

  • Heat a skillet over medium and add your choice of oil, then pour in 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake

  • Once bubbles start to form, flip the pancake and cook for about 1 min

  • Note** be sure to keep an eye out because they can burn easily

  • Repeat cooking steps for the reminder of the batter

  • Serve hot: top with strawberries, nutella, maple syrup and enjoy with your love
