THC's Favourite Green Superfood Smoothie
Healthy fats, high protein, superfoods, greens and fiber
What more could you ask for in a “healthy” smoothie? My vegan recipe has all the goods and maybe some that aren’t the biggest crowd pleaser ***cough*** kale — hence why I created it! This is the perfect ratio of healthy vs tasty ingredients that hit the mark, because it’s packed full of flavour so you don’t have to compromise. If you didn’t already know what was in there, you’d never guess!
Creamy, sweet, nutritious and delicious! I hope you love this recipe as much as I do. I make having a green smoothie a priority in the household each morning to feel energized and fuel my body for the busy day.
I N G R E D I E N T S
1 organic frozen banana
1/2 an avocado (freeze remainder)
1 handful of organic spinach
1 handful of organic chopped kale
1 tbsp hemp seeds
1/2 tsp spirulina powder
1 tsp virgin coconut oil
1 organic pitted date
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1 tsp sun butter (or alternative nut butter)
1 cup unsweetened organic coconut milk
D I R E C T I O N S
Pour coconut milk into a high speed blender then add remaining ingredients
Blend until completely smooth and serve
Enjoy this for breakfast, as a post-workout snack or anytime of day! The best way to remember incorporating it in your day is by making a routine out of it. For example: lets say you workout everyday at 12:00 pm, following your exercise you would make this smoothie right after each workout at the same time, and build it in to your routine, which would eventually form a natural habit! It takes 21 days to form a new habit, what ways would you like to improve your health? Start small today by adding something like a green smoothie in to your diet.
Psychology also plays a large factor in achieving your health goals, always try to think positively about food… “I get to eat/drink _____” rather than “ugh, I have to eat/drink ____” and refrain from using the term diet., instead of diet, think of it as a lifestyle!

The term superfood is used to describe exceptionally nutrient dense foods. A few buzz worthy superfoods include: açai, kale, spirulina and chia seeds. These types of foods contain low calories while being able to provide a high volume of vitamins, mineral and antioxidants. It may sound like superfoods can be a “cure all case” — but, as far as we know right now, this is not the case. Use everything in moderation! That is the best way to achieve healthy balance. By including some of these superfoods daily into your diet can help you achieve a prosperous healthy, happy life!
